War-Botx Xtreme has announced their 2008 event, WBX-V "Taking the Fifth"

This is the 5th anniversary event for WBX. The following schedule has already been set.....and work has begun.

• Friday July 25th - Check in, builders meeting and BBQ ($5 commitment fee on the BBQ)
• Saturday July 26th - Check in, builders meeting and Fights (fights begin at aprox 10am)
• Sunday July 27th - Pancake breakfast and fights

Registration will open in about 1 months time. Because of issues with builders registering but not showing up, WBX may require a deposit when registering.

For those who have competed in WBX-I II III and IV there will be a 50 percent discount on your entry fees. More info to come regarding entry fees as information is firmed up.

The Ohio Robot Club has announced their "HORD Fall 2007" event, to be held Saturday Nov. 3rd at the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center, 8001 Brecksville Rd Brecksville, OH. 44141.

HORD will be in the main commons room at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center. CVCC provides vocational and technical education for students from seven area high school, and a wide range of adult carrer training. ORC is partnering with member of the CVCC staff who are planing a robotics curriculum to be introduced next spring or fall.

BashBall combines the visceral excitement of one-on-one robot combat with the strategy of team play in a fast-paced ball game requiring speed, skill, and brute force.
